WE CHAT.

In order to give you a brand that you love, we need to get to know each other and make sure we vibe. It’s kind of like a first date, but less awkward. Fill out the branding contact form so I can get an idea of what you’re looking for beforehand. Then we can set up a time to chat on the phone, skype or grab coffee.

After we make sure we are a compatible and hash out the details of our relationship, I'll send your quote and contract so we can get the project moving.


WE WORK.

After we secure your project start date, you'll get started on your homework (don't worry - it's the fun kind). I will get to work on creating exactly what we defined in the scope of work.

For branding:
You'll get two chances to change anything and everything to make sure everything is what you want for your logo. If you need more rounds, it will be at my hourly rate of $100/hour.

For web design:
All content and imagery is due prior to when I begin. This is for me to best understand your site needs and create an accurate site map. Once the site map is approved by you, I will input the content and make it beautiful. You will have two rounds of Q&A to work through how your site looks and functions. Any additional edits will be at my hourly rate of$100/hour.


WE WRAP UP.

We'll plan another call/skype/coffee date to go over all of your deliverables and related questions you have. For websites, you will receive custom written directions on how to manage your site going forward. If you need assistance after the site is launched, I won’t leave you hanging. I’m happy to help with further edits at my hourly rate of $100/hour.

WHAT PROGRAMS/PLATFORMS DO YOU USE?

I use Adobe Creative Suite for all things design. For websites, I use Squarespace because it is very user-friendly, design driven and performance focused .


DO YOU REQUIRE PAYMENT UPFRONT?

Yes, all projects require a 50% design payment prior to beginning. The remaining 50% will be due at the completion of the project. You can either pay online with credit card, bank transfer or mail a check. If you know you have a lot of design work needed, we can discuss a monthly retainer as well. Let me know and we will cater a plan to your needs.


DO YOU WRITE COPY FOR WEBSITES?

No. I am in charge of the visual design of your website. Trust me when I say, you do not what me to write your website copy. I do know some great copywriter if you need recommendations.


DO I NEED TO BUY A DOMAIN FIRST?

Domains can be purchased within Squarespace or we can transfer/connect a third party domain if you have already purchased yours.


HOW MUCH IS SQUARESPACE HOSTING?

I am a Squarespace Circle Member. This means you get 20% off your first year of Squarespace when you choose annual billing (for new Squarespace users only). Check out the different pricing plans here.  It also means I have 6 month trial periods, optimized care, access to the Circle forum for peer-to-peer support and feedback, and I’m updated with exclusive content and product release notes.


CAN YOU ASSIST ME WITH SEO?

I do not specialize in SEO strategy plans, but if you’re looking for someone to do keyword research, linking, or local SEO, I can help you find them!


WHAT IF I AM STILL NOT SATISFIED AFTER TWO ROUNDS OR REFINEMENT?

I am almost certain and hope  you will be happy with your new logo after our two rounds of refinement, but if for some reason you are not we can continue at my hourly rate.
