I had the privilege of participating in my first ever styled shoot last December and boy was it gorgeous! With a fresh coat of snow on the ground, we had an unexpected, beautiful backdrop for a elegant styled shoot at Antebellum of New Kent.
The theme of the styled shoot was winter elegance with rich greens and golds. To compliment the look, I created an invitation suite with emerald green type, envelopes and a crushed good envelope liner. To add a bit more elegance, I worked with the ever-so-talented Kaye of Yellow Door Calligraphy to have the envelopes addressed in gold calligraphy.
In the day-of decor, I wanted to keep the look modern and created two acrylic signs with gold painted brushstrokes on the back. Adding paint is a great way to add a pop of color and make your design more legible. The last element I worked on were place cards at the sweetheart table. On these, I decided to add gold leaf to give them a little extra something.
