Tom is a childhood friend of my brother as well as Rebecca's cousin! While at Rebecca and Tyler's wedding I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Tom's lovely fiancé, Heidi. Their wedding was approaching and while most things were planned, they needed help with some last minute day-of details.
From getting to know Heidi more over the phone and emails leading up to the big day, I knew her wedding was going to be beautiful and uniquely them. Heidi wore a custom made gown in a gorgeous shade of marigold along with some killer Gucci heels. In her bouquet and floral arrangements were protea flowers - a native flower to South Africa (a nod to Heidi's childhood upbringing) that represents transformation, strength, courage and hope. I think I may have a new favorite flower!
As guest arrived at The Boathouse, they were greeted by a sign we created with one of my new favorite quotes. This Rumi guys knows what is up.
"Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray." - Rumi
I also got to play with a new type of signage - painting on acrylic! I loved how they turned out and hope to do more!
Post-ceremony, the reception had an amazing paper flower wall made by Tom's super talented mother. And to top it all off, the Gelati Celesti truck (my favorite ice cream in the entire world) made an appearance. YUM. Take a peak below at the stunning photos of their day by Allison Kuhn.
