Mary, Jordan and Esther (their french bulldog) officially became a family of 3 overlooking the beautiful mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. Esther didn’t understand as she was pretty sure they were already married, but enjoyed the attention nevertheless.
I’ve known Mary since 2011 when we met in grad school at VCU. Three years later we were both in Charlotte working at a small, but feisty ad agency as creative partners. On top of being work wives for four years, we also founded Small + Snarky - a Etsy shop selling hand-printed baby onesies with a bit of sass. Mary is one of my best friends and has taught me to do what you want and the way you want to do it. She applied this mantra to just about all the details of her and Jordan’s wedding.
Mary and Jordan met through mutual friends at an Irish bar in Charlotte, NC. After years of dating and co-parenting Esther, Jordan popped the question at her family home over the holidays. As Jordan was down on one knee, Mary’s immediate response was, “Why are you doing this!?” Jordan brought that hilarious response full circle in his vows by telling her all the reasons why, swoooooon! Her brother had the duty of not only being the maid of honor (because do what you want, it’s your wedding), but doing a reading… of Mary’s past tweets. You should probably follow her now.
